KETO-LOCA® Toffee Bites

KETO-LOCA® Toffee Bites

Very sweet with coffee, tea,... They are quick to make and terribly addictive. Sooo... make them soon!

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 5 tbsp unsweetened whipped cream
  • 100 g sunflower seeds
  • 55 g Sugar substitute
  • 200 g KETO-LOCA® Dark Chocolate
  • Pinch of salt

Get baking!

  1. Lightly brown the sunflower seeds in a dry frying pan. Until they are slightly crunchy. Set them aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter on a low heat and add the sunflower seeds. Fry for a few minutes and keep stirring.
  3. Add 4 tablespoons of unwhipped and unsweetened whipping cream to the mixture and keep stirring this too. Then add the sugar substitute to the mixture. 
  4. Simmer this gently for about 10 min. You will see that the mixture becomes a thicker golden brown toffee. Then add a pinch of salt and the remaining whipping cream. Stir well again and remove from the heat.
  5. Pour the toffee mixture into a baking tray lined with aluminium foil (grease it briefly with some coconut oil). And put in the fridge to stiffen.
  6. When the mixture is hard take it out of the fridge. Melt half the chocolate au bain marie and pour it over the toffee. Then put it back in the fridge.
  7. Once this has hardened, remove the toffee slice and turn it over. Melt the other half of the chocolate and pour it over the bottom. Let this also solidify again.

Cut pieces of it and enjoy!
